World Space Week 2025 Concludes Successfully at Andhra University

The valedictory session of World Space Week 2025 (WSW-2K25), organized by the Urvikrithi Student Society of the Department of Geo-Engineering, Andhra University, was successfully held today at YVS Auditorium.

The morning session was graced by Prof. K. Rambabu, Registrar of Andhra University, who attended as the Chief Guest for the felicitation ceremony. During the event, the Head of the Department of Geo-Engineering, Prof. P. Jagadeeswara Rao, presented an overview of the society’s activities and highlighted the successful execution of the WSW-2K25 week-long celebrations.

Prof. Rambabu appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Urvikrithi team and commended their meticulous planning and teamwork in making the national-level event a grand success. He also distributed prizes and certificates to the winners and participants of the Ideathon, conducted on 12th October 2025 at RTIH, VMRDA Deck, Siripuram.

In the evening session, Prof. P. Jagadeeswara Rao, Head of the Department, distributed the prize money to the Ideathon winners. As a token of respect and gratitude, General Secretary (Female) K.L.S.P. Varshini presented a memento to the HOD for his constant guidance and support. Joint Secretaries P. Sanjana and D.S.S. Chandra Vardhan presented a memento to Prof. Murali Krishna, Vice President of Urvikrithi. Additionally, A. Susmita presented a memento to Prof. Victor Babu, Student Advisor of Urvikrithi, in appreciation of his continuous encouragement and mentorship.

The event concluded with vibrant cultural performances, marking a memorable end to World Space Week 2025 at Andhra University.
