 SWACHHATA 5.0 PROGRAM AT BEACH ROAD


Under the guidance of Shri B. Srinivas, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-1, Visakhapatnam as Part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 Special Campaign 5.0, a Walkathon programme from Visawapriya Function Hall to Coco Arena-1 and a Beach Cleaning Programme at Coco Arena-1 were conducted on 17.10.2025 by Income Tax Department, Visakhapatnam to create awareness on the importance of Swachhata in the citizens of Visakhapatnam.

Prof. Dr. Shri D.Surya Prakasa Rao, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University(DSNLU), Visakhapatnam was invited as Guest of Honor for the said programme.

During the programme, Shri B. Srinivas, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-1, Visakhapatnam highlighted the importance of SWACHHATA 5.0 PROGRAM and its role in Conversation of Environment and Prevention of segregated waste and creating the awareness in the public regarding importance of Swachhata in daily lives is the prime motto of the programme.


He further outlined that in addition to the administration of Direct Tax Matters, the department is implementing certain environmentally friendly initiatives in the offices such as e-office, waste segregation and creating awareness in taxpayers and its employees and also reducing the grievances of tax payers such as e-nivaran and CPGRAMS.

Shri Satyasai Rath, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals)-3, Visakhapatnam and other officers and officials of the Income Tax Department actively participated in the programme.
